If you thought the first book The Blood Coven Novel was good Stake That gets better. The first book we are learning a little bit about Sunny, now it is Rayne turn. Rayne is Sunny's twins sister and wants to be a vampire but thanks to a mistake by Sunny's real true love Magnus which is the new Head of the Coven (Magnus was next in line after Buffy the Vamp Slayer no not Michelle Gellar!! got into the coven and killed Lucifent) Rayne is back to square one waiting for another Blood Mate which I think Rayne has a point in saying since her Twin sister is with head of the blood coven and well it was his mistake he can help a girl out. Rayne is out a blood mate and as rayne says "no riches beyond belief just a history paper that wasn't written". She is now being picked in line as the next Buffy vamp slayer cause the last one had some serious health issues and has her first mission to infiltrate a club that is up to something bad and answer's need to be had. Here lays Rayne's first mission and not knowing The Blood Coven fearless leader Magnus is also doing his own investigation and has send someone in and little did Rayne know she would have to work with him she would also fall in love with a vampire *umm* (Jareth) and that big question about if she will get her wish to be a vamp will be answered. Stake That! was so funny I was laughing so hard at Rayne antics. This story I read in all of what 1 day 1/2 half it was so funny and Rayne and Jareth is ohh how can I put it.... I am not going to talk abou the plot becauce i am sure other people have wrote about it. I will say that i loved this book. It is funny and cute and it is an interesting plot.along with romance! I recommend this book to anyone who loves vampires. Great in between book for twilighters. Read this sentre set. ou will devoure them!
Poor Rayne...She just can't catch a break or does she??? 5 Fangs up for Mari Mancusi. She's done it again with the second book of the Blood Coven Vampire Novels, "Stake That". Not only did she write a excellent book, she wrote it in a way that I've never seen done before. "The Blood Coven Vampire Novels" are turning out to be one if the best series I've read! "DO NOT" miss out on reading this series,or "ELSE"!!!!!

I was completely shocked when I read that Rayne was a slayer destined to be. Her going undercover in a Blood Bar was cool. But her meeting Jareth was the best thing that ever happened to her. At first reading the chapters of her traning and then going to slay a Vamp was something I was not expecting. I was even more supprised when she was in the room with Jareth and he needed to bite her so they can go further into the bar to get more info. After reading that and what she said I knew she was in love. Especially when they were in the funeral home and he kissed her in the supplie room closet. Going through all that drama with her dad and finding Maverick falling in love and being a slayer, not to mention getting bitten and finding out her moms boyfriend works for Slayer Inc.. Most of all almost dying and her thinking Jareth left her. To a happy ending of her dad coming to see her and Jareth telling her he can save her and turn her into a Vampire and that he loves her and wants to be her blood mate knowing he will loose his powers.
steak that is the next book in the series. it switches to rayne's point of view. She is back on the waiting list for a blood mate considering her last bite her sister and is now her boyfriend. She wants nothing more than to be forever a creature of the night but fate has her going in a different direction. The school drama couch practically forces rayne to become a slayer for slayer inc. Her first mission is to slay an evil vamp Maverick who is spreading a blood virus in an attempt to take over the blood coven. Rayne gets a little help from the vampire Jareth who annoys her more than anything. He's nothing but a jerk but slowly starts to be nice toward her. Rayne cant help it shes falling for him. Rayne not only faces the troubles of love and evil vamps but inner problems that she has kept pushed deep down inside her start to explode. When they finally get there chance to steal a copy of the virus. Maverick captures rayne and injects her with the virus,but he makes the mistake of letting her go thing that with out her stake she cant hurt him. But he was wrong and rayne uses a chair leg and stakes him. They end up saving magnus and the blood coven but now rayne has only three days to live and shes dieing fast. In a final act's of love Jareth brings rayne's dad to see her and offers her the choice to be his blood mate. If she say's yes both of them could end up with no vamp powers. But she loves him and he loves her so she accepts and they are now forever blood mates.
After my dog died I was very depressed and Read the first of A Blood Coven Vampire Novel. Twins that get mixed up Goth Vampires that turn Surfer Day-walker, Buffy Fan Girl turned Vampire slayer Who want's to be the Vampire,Very clear about that. A cast of scary magical cool and silly ,I laughed and kept laughing have not laughed so hard in years. This book is about enjoying a good read and not getting any sleep till the books done and about making you smile and laugh to you cry.It's not done in a stupid way but in well thought out set of secrets that involve two sisters one fated to save the world from vampires and rather be a Vampire (she filed a application and was on a waiting list!)and one that's not but dose any way and would like to remain normal teen. It's about growing up and being a individual. About being your self and not a stereotype people expect whether your a teen Vamp ,or goth Teen Cheerleader or a prep girl who dates the undead or a Vampire General who enjoys surfing.That it's only cool to be You!
